Patna University Students Union General Seceratory Saloni Raj Slams Admin, Demands Hostel Allotment Before Oath Ceremony

PATNA (MR) : Saloni Raj, the newly elected General Secretary of the Patna University Student’s Union (PUSU), has issued a significant statement, leveling serious allegations against the university administration. In her statement released today, she demanded that hostel allotments for students be prioritized and completed before the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected student union office-bearers takes place.

Saloni highlighted that a student movement had taken place in recent days, leading to several agreements based on their demands. One of the most critical issues raised was the allotment of hostels, yet no concrete action has been taken so far. She pointed out that due to the administration’s indecisive policies, hundreds of students are still grappling with accommodation problems.

The General Secretary explicitly demanded that the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected PUSU office-bearers should not be held until the hostel allotment process is completed. She argued that conducting the ceremony without addressing the hostel issue would be an injustice to the poor and needy students who urgently require accommodation.

She further emphasized that hostels are built for the use of students, not to be locked up and left unused. Therefore, it is essential to initiate the hostel allotment process before the student union’s oath-taking ceremony to safeguard students’ rights and maintain their trust in the university administration.
