The sight was so mesmerising that in Bihar, people momentarily forgot the tradition of not looking at the moon during Chakchanda. As this celestial spectacle was captured within a single frame, an unusual sense of peace and reverence washed over everyone who saw it. As evening fell, a thin crescent moon appeared in the western sky, and right beside it, a brilliant star-like light began catching people’s attention. People climbed onto rooftops, balconies, and open grounds to witness this unique sight. Notably, clear skies made the view especially vivid. Many called it a beautiful gift from nature.

According to mythological belief, on this festival, everyone except the woman observing the fast (parvaitin) is forbidden from looking at the moon — doing so is said to invite the curse of Lord Ganesh.
